One day on the way back home, along Nassim road near Russian embassy, I heard familiar sound of kingfishers. Looking up, under the blue sky, I saw several collared kingfishers - which are really easy to identify, white neck and breast, blue head and back. I stopped, and watched them, one kingfisher landed on a bare branch, and perched on its tip, a few seconds later it dived from there! There must be a pond inside the Russian embassy yard I speculated. There is no pound, but a swimming pool according to Google map.
Another day, on the way from Mt Faber to the parking lot, I heard quite some nervous bird noises from Myna, magpie robins etc, I thought that there must be some predator birds around. I paused, and looked around a few times, I saw this hawk in the trees. I could not identify it through Google lens because there are quite a few hawks looking similar to this one. But it looks like to be Crested Goshawk.
One Sunday morning, while coming out of swimming pool, I saw a long tailed parakeet flew to a flowering tree by the pool, and stayed there for a few minutes for me to tape it!
When we walk at northern part of Singapore Botanic garden, we typically take red brick path to go there. As the name indicated, the trail is red brick paved, there are trees and bushes along the way. I often hear the sound of sparrow like birds but never had a good view of them, just some tiny birds, look like sparrow. While Lily was on business trip, I walked there by myself, and watched the tiny birds in the bushes more carefully, it has a lot features than just brown feathers and tiny body: it has a red head, grey neck ring, speckled breast and fan tail. It is ruddy spinetail.

Sometimes even I saw a bird flying into a tree and landing on a branch, I could not see it. Can you spot the green rumped parrotlet in the following two photos?
