Singapore Nights

I went to Singapore for the first time for a business trip in Mid-July.

All the compliments I heard  about Singapore before - how clean and tidy the city is, how orderly the people is  ... were verified from my limited exposure there - on the taxis from airport to hotel, walking the downtown streets, riding light rails.

One thing I would like to do there was to view the downtown core night scene in my own eyes. This was primarily due to the movie "Crazy Rich Asians". It turned out that the main area for the night scene is called Marina Park, and the major landmark is Sky Park over the Sands Hotel.

The Marina Park is less than a mile from the Carlton hotel I stayed. I went Marina at night twice - once by myself during a weekday and once with my Singapore colleagues on Friday evening.

This is a very popular place and the lights are on all nights, and there seems to always have people there taking pictures.

Clean, tidy, spectacular artificial beauty!
