Flora and Fauna at Jurong Lake Gardens

Jurong Lake Gardens are consisted of three gardens, lakeside garden, Chinese garden and Japanese Garden,   they are located by and in the  Jurong Lake,  in Midwest Singapore. Chinese garden and Japanese garden are on islands in the lake and they are under construction.

We went there two Saturdays ago (October 16th). The beautiful landscape, vibrant plants, lively birds, colorful fishes and turtles pleased us. Due to less dense trees, and more flowering plants, it was easier to spot birds, I took pictures of 11 different birds and I observed some territorial fights of the same bird species !!

The wider trail, and fewer people at Jurong lake gardens than at MacRitchie  compensated its smaller area and shorter trail, made it a great place for a weekend outing.
