Lily and I went to Chisholm trail jogging last Saturday morning, the last day of my two week visit to Richardson. Even though it was pretty cold, 45F, we were pleasantly surprised by the brilliant foliage.
There were not too many people there. We encountered a couple dog walkers, a couple bikers. Most people we saw on the trail were couples, old, middle aged and young. Because it was cold we walked relatively fast unless we stop for photos. Most of the time we were by ourselves during our 2 and half hour there.
The primary color was bright yellow in the first 3 km from the trailhead at south. Between the mile mark 3km to 4km, where the big lake on the creek is, there more colors - orange, brown, red and green.
We walked 10 km in about 2 and half hours.
This year's foliage is the best at North Texas in my memory.
